During the long Covid shutdown, Fresno's arts community kept on painting, drawing, sculpting, dancing, acting, making music, and, of course, writing--mostly alone. Artists lost their live venues, livelihoods, and patrons and those of us who love the arts couldn't experience and support their work. Finally, this week it's time for artists and art-lovers to come out and play again--literally and figuratively.

ArtHop has a 25-year history in Fresno. It's back and will occur every first Thursday of the month, 5-8 pm. Downtown galleries and studios and pop-up venues will again be open. This Thursday, July 1st, the Fresno Arts Council at 1245 VanNess, downtown, will host a great exhibit of painting, and also officially introduce me to the arts community with a reception, and a reading. My reading is 6-7 pm, and like all ArtHop events, it is free. All are welcome!
